Optimal Phone Settings

LOW POWER MODE NOTICE

Our app DOES NOT work in LOW POWER MODE on your smart phone. It will disable the GPS functionality.

Enable Notifications

PoolToday only sends notifications for important updates about scheduled services and customer support responses. If you have already disabled notifications you can change this from your settings. Click here for iPhone instructions. Click here for Android instructions.

Enable Location Access

In order for the PoolToday App to work properly we require access to your location. The minimum location access required is "While Using This App". If you have already denied this access you can change this from your settings. Click here for iPhone instructions. Click here for Android instructions.

Enable Camera Access

All services require before photos to be submitted by pool owners, and before and after photos to be submitted by service technicians. If you have already disabled camera access you can change this from your settings. Click here for iPhone instructions. Click here for Android instructions.

Smart Phone & Internet Access Required

Our app works on most Android and Apple smart phones, anywhere in the world, as long as there is an internet connection.

How to create an account (including OTP)

Click this link or search your Google or Apple App store for “PoolToday: For Pool Pros” to download the pro app > Install the App > Tap “Sign Up” at the very bottom of the welcome screen > Enter the required information, your cell phone number will be your username> Tap Sign Up> A 4-digit code will be texted to you, enter that code and tap Done > Tap Done > Email us once your entire team has signed up!

How to setup your professional profile step 1(Vehicle)

Tap the Hamburger menu > Tap Settings > 

 

1) Confirm the Map App that you want to use for directions

 

2) Tap Vehicle Type and enter your make, tag, and vehicle color

 

 

How to setup your professional profile step 2 (Profile Picture)

Tap the Hamburger menu > In the top right corner of your screen tap the Profile icon > Tap the camera button and TAKE A SELFIE – your customers will see these for safety purposes, smile 😁 > Tap Save

How to manage your availability schedule

Tap the Hamburger menu > Tap Schedule > Tap the day you want to modify > Tap the hours you want to be available > 

How to ensure you can accept jobs (On/Off Duty Toggle)

Note: To accept jobs your app needs to be open when you start your work day. Your schedule will automatically toggle you on/off duty once open. However, if you do not open your app for an extended period of time during your “on duty” schedule you may be automatically put off duty.


Go On Duty: If you are off “off duty” your home screen will have a prompt to “Switch on your duty”. 


Switch Off Duty: To go off duty tap the hamburger menu icon from the top left of the app home screen. Tap the green toggle. You should now be off duty. A message will now appear on your home screen with a prompt to “Switch on your duty”. 

How to start and finish a job

Accept the Job > It will appear on your schedule > Send a chat to the customer your on the way > Tap directions for an optimize route to their house > Swipe Start at the bottom > 

 

Upon arrival take BEFORE pictures of their pool and equipment > Upon completion write out your notes. Refer to our service checklist here on what to check for, at a minimum. > Take AFTER pictures of their pool and any equipment you may have worked on. 

 

Swipe Successful > Rate the customer > Hit Continue

How to check your schedule and job history

Tap the Hamburger menu > Tap History > 

 

Blue dots under the date are days with jobs scheduled

 

Black dots under the date are days with jobs completed

 

Tap a date to see the job history > Tap a job to see the before/after photos, and job notes

How to communicate with a customer during a service window

You can open an in-app chat with your customer which will notify each party when the other party responds via your phones “push notifications”.


Either party can also call each other. The number will be masked as 888-882-2380. The system will notify you that you are being connected to a customer. 

How to check notifications

Tap the Hamburger menu > Tap Notifications
